COLLEGE REPUBLICANS WIN FREE SPEECH CASE

The left has long used speech codes, enforced political correctness and heavy handed bureaucracy to squelch campus speech they disagree with.

The San Francisco State University College Republicans deserve great credit for their victory over the CSU system this week as the university settled a lawsuit and stopped defending its blatantly unconstitutional student conduct codes that became a mechanism for suppressing conservative speech.

The controversy began with an anti-terrorism rally where some present stomped on the flags of terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah, and ended with CSU paying $41,000 in legal fees after a federal judge threw out whole sections of the Cal State system's "speech code."
