The San Francisco State University College Republicans deserve great credit for their victory over the CSU system this week as the university settled a lawsuit and stopped defending its blatantly unconstitutional student conduct codes that became a mechanism for suppressing conservative speech.
The controversy began with an anti-terrorism rally where some present stomped on the flags of terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah, and ended with CSU paying $41,000 in legal fees after a federal judge threw out whole sections of the Cal State system's "speech code."
