DEMOCRATS ELEVATE POLITICS OVER SOLUTIONS ON ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

(Sacramento, CA) - Ron Nehring, Chairman of the California Republican Party, issued this statement regarding the hearing called by the Democrats to "investigate" the California Air Resources Board:
"State Democrats once again showed Californians just how far they will go to make headlines. Today's political theatre, masked as a hearing to look into the California Air Resources Board, comes as simply another attempt by California's Democrats to attract the attention they believe they deserve for their environmental credentials.
"However, the real leadership on environmental issues we see has come from Governor Schwarzenegger and Republicans. California's Republican Governor is driving the national debate by proposing innovative ideas and solutions, not hearings and stunts. Sadly, our state Democrats are rich in rhetoric yet poor in action, engaging in hollow politics hoping to get their share of the limelight."
