FIRST GOP DEBATE OF 2008 PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES - THURSDAY MAY 3

We've heard from the Democrats - in their debate this week. Now let's hear about some REAL solutions for America's future. Join us for the first GOP Presidential Debate on Thursday.

Nancy Reagan has invited the major GOP Presidential candidates to the Reagan Library for a presidential debate.  “Ronnie always hoped the Library would be a place where policy makers could debate the future,” said former first lady Nancy Reagan.  “This presidential debate provides the opportunity to fulfill his wishes.”

The GOP candidates will include: Sam Brownback, Jim Gilmore, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, Duncan Hunter, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Tom Tancredo, and Tommy Thompson.

SVgop will be gathering to watch the debate broadcast live on MSNBC. Join us for the debate at one of these locations, and then participate in our Straw Poll to declare a debate winner.

Date: Thursday, May 3rd
Time: 5-8pm, Debate airs from 5-6:30
Cost: Free food, cash bar

Palo Alto Debate Party Location:
The New Old Pro Bar & Restaurant, 541 Ramona Ave,  downtown Palo Alto.
We will be meeting in the private area upstairs where we will watch the debate on three large plasma screens.
(There's also a mechanical bull downstairs for those of you that want a ride!)
