I am honored to serve as your Councilmember and I’m committed to making sure that your voice and interests will be heard by the San José City Council.  In my role as Councilmember, I will continue to do my best to give back to our community by increasing efforts to organize our neighborhoods, make our City open and customer friendly, and building our employment base.   I am confident that we can work together to achieve these goals and to ensure that San José will be a healthy place to raise a family for years to come. 

I believe good governance is about listening to the needs of the community, respecting all views, and leading honestly and openly with the best interests of the community at heart. I believe in maintaining the big picture; balancing progress with sustainability, new development with preservation, benefit with burden. I believe in providing the residents of San José with the level of service that they deserve, while maintaining fiscal responsibility and restraint.

Most of all, I believe that it is important to actively contribute to the community in which you live. I have made it a priority in my life to serve the community of San José through my service as a police officer, my extensive work with nonprofit agencies, my service as a member of a city commission, and my involvement in my neighborhood. These many years of varied service have given me the knowledge, skills, and experience to be an effective member of the San José City Council.
